The BOYA TX8 Pro is a wireless bodypack transmitter compatible with the RX8 Pro and SP-RX8 Pro receivers. It features a locking 3.5mm audio input for plugging in the included lavalier microphone. There is a second 3.5mm input that accepts line-level signals, great for connecting a mixer or recorder and transmitting to a camera.
The TX8 Pro is equipped with gain +/- buttons that enable you to quickly adjust your input level. The power button conveniently doubles as a mute button to turn off the microphone. The easy-to-read LCD displays battery power level and channel selected.
The included omnidirectional lavalier microphone offers a 360° sound pickup pattern, which is forgiving to your subject’s head movements.
The transmitter attaches to your belt using the included clip. A 1/4″-20 tread on the back of the unit lets you mount the TX8 Pro on a tripod or on a camera using a shoemount adapter (available separately). The transmitter operates on two AA batteries that provides up to 6 hours of operation on a full charge.
